“Maharukh, a pharmaceutical design scientist and entrepreneur, is renowned in the healthcare industry as an idea innovator, systems originator and value builder. She is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of Amaterasu Lifesciences, a start-up company aimed at providing innovation driven drug delivery systems with a patient centric focus. Maharukh, in a career spanning over 35 years, has created a mark as a technocrat and entrepreneur with core competency in formulations research and drug delivery system innovations, phytochemical based healthcare products, intellectual property, manufacturing, regulatory sciences and drug delivery business.  She was also responsible in founding and building Rubicon, a contract research outsourcing company, from scratch adding her expertise to its business processes, technical processes and capabilities. Maharukh is the inventor of numerous patents (7 granted and 45 pending) in the area of personal care, pharmaceutical products and drug delivery systems; she is a member of the committee for drafting ICT start-up policy, and has a keen interest to partner, support and build the industry – academia collaboration culture in the country.”
